Team News: Six changes for Liverpool

Liverpool make six changes for this afternoon's Merseyside derby at home to Everton in the Premier League.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has made six changes to his starting lineup for this afternoon's Merseyside derby at home to Everton in the Premier League.

Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson and Mario Balotelli are among the names who return for the Reds following their win over Middlesbrough in the League Cup.

Dejan Lovren, Martin Skrtel and Alberto Moreno also come back for the hosts after missing out in midweek, but Daniel Sturridge remains sidelined through injury.

Meanwhile, Everton manager Roberto Martinez has gone for eight changes in the wake of his team's defeat to Swansea City in the League Cup.

Leighton Baines, Phil Jagielka, Gareth Barry and Romelu Lukaku all return, with John Stones, James McCarthy, Kevin Mirallas and Steven Naismith also included.
