Mohamed Salah insists that four wins from their four remaining matches will be enough for Liverpool to see off Manchester City and finish top of the Premier League.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has said that his side will become Premier League champions if they win all four of their remaining matches.

The Reds beat Chelsea 2-0 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon to pass the toughest of their remaining tests in a title race that will go down to the wire.

A fifth league win on the spin takes Liverpool two points clear at the top of the table, but they have played a game more than defending champions Manchester City.

The Citizens, 3-1 winners over Crystal Palace earlier today, still have to face Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, though, and Salah believes that Liverpool will come out on top if they overcome Cardiff City, Huddersfield Town, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers over the next month.

"In my opinion, yes," he told Sky Sports News when asked if his side can end their long wait for a top-flight crown. "We just need to focus on our game and hope Manchester City will lose points.

"I did follow Man City to see the result, it can help us but also it can push us to perform better. You need to score, you can't lose any points, I knew the result of Manchester City's game."

Liverpool switch focus to the Champions League on Wednesday as they travel to Porto for the second leg of their quarter-final tie, leading 2-0 from the first leg.
