Liverpool centre-forward Andy Carroll is reportedly ready to reject the chance to join West Ham United.

Andy Carroll has reportedly decided not to join West Ham United on a permanent basis.

The Liverpool centre-forward spent the majority of the last campaign on loan with the Hammers, having been told by Brendan Rodgers that he did not feature in his plans at Anfield.

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has been quoted on numerous occasions saying that he would like to keep hold of the England international and the two clubs were thought to have agreed a fee earlier this month over a transfer.

However, the 24-year-old is keen to prove himself at Liverpool and will give himself one more campaign to try to make a success of his spell on Merseyside, according to Goal.com.

Carroll joined the Reds from Newcastle United in January 2011 for £35m.
