Liverpool expect £4m Thomas Ince windfall

Liverpool expect to pocket around £4m from a sell-on clause if Blackpool part with Thomas Ince this summer, with Cardiff City and Swansea City both chasing the young winger.

Liverpool will reportedly receive around £4m from Blackpool if the Seasiders sell Thomas Ince this summer.

The Reds have a 50% sell-on clause on the 21-year-old, plus a right to match any offer that Blackpool receive for the England Under-21 international.

Blackpool have accepted a bid believed to be in the region of £8m from Cardiff City for their star player in the last 48 hours, with Swansea City also reportedly still in the hunt for Ince's services.

With a fee in place Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is anxiously awaiting a windfall on their former academy starlet to re-invest on summer recruits, according to The Mirror.

Ince scored 18 goals for Blackpool last season, winning the Championship Player of the Year award as recognition for a fine season at Bloomfield Road.
