Liverpool are reportedly told that it will take a world-record bid of £90m to prise goalkeeper Alisson Becker away from Roma this summer.

Liverpool have reportedly been told that it will take a world-record fee of £90m to sign goalkeeper Alisson Becker from Roma at the end of the season.

The Reds are expected to enter the market for a new shot-stopper this summer, with manager Jurgen Klopp still unconvinced by Simon Mignolet or Loris Karius, both of whom have had spells as the team's first-choice keeper this season.

Real Madrid's Keylor Navas has been linked with a move to Anfield, but Roma keeper Alisson is understood to be Liverpool's number one target as they look to solve a long-standing problem.

However, Roma are reluctant to lose the 25-year-old and Calciomercato reports that they will demand a £90m bid from the Premier League club in order to sell.

That price would shatter the previous record sum paid for a goalkeeper, which is currently held by Manchester City's £34.7m purchase of Ederson last summer.

Alisson, who is currently considered Brazil's number one ahead of Ederson, has made 32 appearances for Roma across all competitions this season.
