Martin Montoya hints at new Barcelona deal

Barcelona right-back Martin Montoya hints that he could sign a new long-term deal with the Spanish champions.

Martin Montoya has hinted that he could yet sign a new long-term deal with Barcelona.

The right-back's current contract at Camp Nou expires at the end of the season, with a number of clubs believed to be keen on signing the Spanish international.

A report had claimed that his agent was due to begin talks with Liverpool and Inter Milan this week, but Montoya has suggested that he wants to remain with the Spanish champions.

"I've been with this club for 14 years. And there are still many months to go yet until the summer," he told reporters at a press conference.

"I'm sure I'll talk with the club. But I am young and I want to keep on playing for this club."

Daniel Alves is the current first-choice right-back for Barca.
