Kevin Nolan wants permanent Andy Carroll switch

West Ham United skipper Kevin Nolan wants his side to buy striker Andy Carroll in the summer and make his loan move from Liverpool permanent.

West Ham United captain Kevin Nolan wants his side to sign striker Andy Carroll on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

The England international is currently on loan at the Hammers from Liverpool and has scored seven goals in 25 appearances this season for Sam Allardyce's side.

Nolan told The Sun: "He is wanted and loved at Upton Park. He has had a massive influence on our season and after coming back from injury, he has been brilliant for us.

"I really hope the directors can get a deal done for Andy and that he decides to stay. He knows what we're about as a club.

"Andy gets on well with all the lads and if he got a regular run with England, he could be as prolific as anyone we have."

West Ham face already-relegated Reading in their final Premier League game of the season at Upton Park.
