Real Madrid, Barcelona 'interested in £200m Mohamed Salah move'

Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are reportedly ready to battle for the signature of £200m-rated Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah this summer.

Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are reportedly both interested in signing Mohamed Salah from Liverpool this summer.

Salah has enjoyed a record-breaking debut season at Anfield so far, scoring 37 goals in just 43 matches across all competitions since his arrival from Roma last year.

A four-goal haul against Watford on Saturday saw the 25-year-old move on to 28 Premier League goals for the season, making him the leading scorer in Europe's top five leagues in 2017-18.

Salah's performances have led to him being compared to Barcelona's Lionel Messi, and the Catalan outfit are reportedly now willing to do battle with their Clasico rivals Real Madrid for the Egyptian's signature.

However, Liverpool would demand a world-record fee of £200m - the same as Paris Saint-Germain paid for Neymar last summer - before they even entertain the idea of selling Salah.

The Reds eventually buckled under Barcelona's advances for Philippe Coutinho in January, but they will demand a significantly higher fee than the £142m they received for the Brazilian if they are to lose Salah this summer.
