Report: Valencia target Iago Aspas loan

Reports suggest that Valencia want Liverpool forward Iago Aspas on loan for the rest of the season.

Valencia have reportedly contacted Liverpool about the possibility of taking Iago Aspas on loan for the rest of the season.

The 26-year-old has struggled to break into the first team at Anfield after joining from Celta Vigo in the summer.

According to BeIN Sport, Los Che boss Juan Antonio Pizzi wants to add to his striking options at the Mestalla and is prepared to offer the Spanish forward regular playing time.

Aspas struck 12 times in La Liga last year, but has managed just 10 appearances in the Premier League this season.

He scored his first goal for the Reds in Sunday's FA Cup third-round tie at home to Oldham Athletic.
