Lyon captain Maxime Gonalons has revealed his desire to stay with the Ligue 1 title challengers next season.
Gonalons has been a key part of Lyon's attempts to win back the French championship, but has been linked with a move away from the club in recent seasons, including a proposed switch to Napoli, which did not materialise.
However, speaking at a pre-match press conference, Gonalons signalled his intention to remain at the club for at least the next year.
He told reporters: "There is no reason for me to leave. I will stay at Lyon.
"We have reached our aim of playing Champions League football. The new stadium will be ready at the beginning of 2016.
"I want to stay at this club. President [Jean-Michel] Aulas is very ambitious. And for that, the best parts of the team must stay."
Lyon can still win the Ligue 1 crown, but will miss out if Paris Saint-Germain earn a point at Montpellier.
