CSKA Moscow, Manchester City clash to be played behind closed doors

Manchester City will have to play CSKA Moscow in an empty stadium on October 21 after UEFA punished the Russian club.

The Champions League group match between CSKA Moscow and Manchester City will be played behind closed doors after UEFA took action against the Russian outfit.

The European governing body will not allow either set of fans to attend the match on October 21 as punishment for CSKA, whose fans clashed with Roma supporters two weeks ago.

CSKA, who have also been fined £150,000, confirmed via their Twitter page the news, meaning that any fans who have bought tickets for the match will not be allowed to enter the stadium.

UEFA have banned fans from attending CSKA's next three home games, and the club's supporters will not be permitted to travel to their side's next two away fixtures.
