Manchester City attacker David Silva has urged the club's supporters and media alike to give the team more time to make an impact in the Champions League.
Failure to beat Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow evening would see the Premier League champions fall at the group stages for the second season in succession.
Despite having spent a large amount of money on new players over the past three seasons, Silva believes that the team still needs time to adapt to European football.
"Three seasons ago we were fighting to qualify for the Champions League and now they demand that we win it," he told Intermedio. "People have to be patient.
"I'm very happy in Manchester, happy to have won the Premier League, but eager to win the Champions League."
Silva joined City in the summer of 2010 from Valencia.
