A report claims that Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling is three weeks away from a return to action, meaning he should be fit to play against Real Madrid.

Raheem Sterling is reportedly on course to be fit for Manchester City's Champions League last-16 tie with Real Madrid.

The England international injured his hamstring in City's 2-0 loss at Tottenham Hotspur eight days ago and is not expected to take part in the club's warm-weather training camp.

According to The Mirror, however, the injury suffered by Sterling is grade one, meaning he should be back within the next two weeks.

City travel to the Santiago Bernabeu for the first leg of their blockbuster clash with Madrid on February 26, before welcoming the Spanish giants to Manchester three weeks later.

Sterling has played a direct part in 19 goals for the Citizens in 29 Premier League and Champions League outings this term.
