Sergio Aguero praises "amazing" manager Pep Guardiola and reveals that the Manchester City boss would be open to coaching Argentina in the future.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has claimed that Pep Guardiola would "love" to one day manage the Argentina national side.

The 45-year-old has enjoyed great success with both Barcelona and Bayern Munich at club level, while also making an impressive start to life at the Etihad Stadium.

Guardiola would seemingly be open to switching to managing an international side in the future, however, having confided in leading marksman Aguero after being linked with the job in the past.

"He is an amazing guy," Aguero told TyC Sports. "There is a reason he did as well as he did in Bayern and won everything. He is a winner.

"Do you remember there was talk about the national team a while ago? [Guardiola] told me, 'You guys didn't call me. I would love to coach you.'"

Aguero is expected to be fit for Man City's meeting with Everton in the Premier League on Saturday after shaking off an injury picked up while on international duty.
