Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany has expressed his desire to lead his side to even more silverware following their Community Shield win this afternoon.
City overcame ten-man Chelsea 3-2 in the season's curtain-raiser to get their campaign off to a winning start, and Kompany is eager to build on the success of last season.
Tevez was amongst the scorers this afternoon, and Kompany insisted that he doesn't care if the Argentinian created more negative headlines this season as long as they win trophies.
"I couldn't care less what the headlines say as long as the club wins trophies. We'll celebrate," Kompany told ITV.
"It's going to be a tough league this year because there's a lot of quality around - as you've seen today.
"It will be another interesting season again and if we can improve on last season again I'll be very happy."
City kick off their Premier League season at home to newly-promoted Southampton next Sunday.
