Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has urged Carlos Tevez to apologise to the club in order to reignite his City career.
Tevez reported back to the club's training round last week after spending three months in Argentina following his altercation with Roberto Mancini in September.
It is understood that Tevez has still not apologised to the City boss, and Nasri has called on the Argentinian to aid their challenge for silverware.
"I didn't speak to Carlos. I think he is an important player for us and for every team in Europe, because he has quality," Nasri told Sky Sports News.
"I don't know what happened. If he has to apologise, then he has to do it and then he will be in the squad, because we need players of his ability to win the league and the Europa League. After that it is for the club and Carlos to deal with."
City face Porto in the Europa League on Wednesday evening.
