Team News: Eight changes for Manchester City

Manager Manuel Pellegrini makes eight alterations to his starting lineup for Manchester City's trip to Southampton.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has rung the changes for this afternoon's Premier League encounter away at Southampton.

With the upcoming Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid in mind, the headline news is that leading goalscorer Sergio Aguero is only among the substitutes.

The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Vincent Kompany and Yaya Toure are also missing, but Joe Hart is in goal and will make his 300th Premier League appearance.

As for the hosts, manager Ronald Koeman has recalled Cuco Martina, Jordy Clasie and Sadio Mane to the starting lineup.

January signing Charlie Austin is also back in the squad following a stint on the sidelines with an injury.

Southampton: Forster; Martina, Fonte, Van Dijk, Bertrand; Davis, Wanyama, Clasie; Mane, Long, Tadic
Subs: Stekelenburg, Cedric, Yoshida, Rodriguez, Romeu, Ward-Prowse, Austin

Manchester City: Hart; Zabaleta, Otamendi, Mangala, Kolarov; Nasri, Fernandinho, Delph, Sterling; Bony Iheanacho
Subs: Caballero, Sagna, Clichy, Demichelis, Fernando, Navas, Aguero
