Manchester City sign 23-year-old Argentinian international Sergio Aguero from Athletico Madrid.

Manchester City have confirmed that they have signed striker Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid on a five-year deal.

The club's official website reports that personal terms have been agreed and that the 23-year-old Argentinian international has signed the contract, worth a reported £200,000 per week.

The transfer fee has not been disclosed, though it is thought to be in the region of £38m.

The forward had tweeted yesterday that he was a City player, though no deal had been confirmed at the time.

Aguero joined Atletico from Argentine club Independiente in 2006 and went on to score 74 goals in 175 appearances for the La Liga side.
