Al-Hilal allegedly offer Manchester City's Bernardo Silva a £500,000-a-week contract to make the move to the Saudi Arabian outfit this summer.

Al-Hilal have reportedly offered Bernardo Silva a £500,000-a-week contract to make the move to the Saudi Arabian outfit during this summer's transfer window.

The 28-year-old was once again a vital player for Manchester City during the 2022-23 campaign, featuring on 55 occasions in all competitions, scoring seven goals and registering eight assists in the process.

Bernardo played a leading role in the team's treble success, and he still has another two years left on his contract, having signed an extension with the club in March 2019.

The Portugal international is believed to be keen to leave Manchester for personal reasons this summer, though, and Man City are allegedly expecting him to depart.

Despite talk of interest from Paris Saint-Germain, the majority of the recent speculation surrounding the attacker has involved teams from the Saudi Pro League.

According to ESPN, Al-Hilal have offered Bernardo the chance to earn £500,000 a week by moving to the club this summer, which is more than three times his current salary at Man City.

The report claims that the Portuguese would ideally prefer to stay in Europe, with a return to his homeland not completely out of the question at this stage.

However, the attacker is said to be tempted by the lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, which would make him one of the best-paid footballers in the world.

Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly have both made the move to Al-Hilal this summer from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chelsea respectively.

Barcelona are also said to be keen on Bernardo, but it is highly unlikely that the Catalan outfit will be able to come up with the transfer fee that will be required to sign him.

Man City head coach Pep Guardiola allegedly remains determined to keep hold of the Portuguese but will not stand in his way if he wants to seek pastures new this summer.

Bernardo made the move to the Etihad Stadium from Monaco in 2017, and he has represented the Citizens on 306 occasions in all competitions, scoring 55 goals and registering 59 assists in the process.

The attacker, meanwhile, has won five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four EFL Cups, two Community Shields and the Champions League during his time at the club.

Al-Hilal, who are managed by Jorge Jesus, finished third in the Saudi Pro League last season, 13 points behind the champions Al-Ittihad.
