Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko expresses his frustration at a lack of game-time last season.

Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko has hinted that he may be forced to seek a transfer unless he is given more game-time this season.

The 26-year-old, who joined the Citizens for £27m in January 2011, started just 16 Premier League matches last season.

He told The Sun: "In the second half of last season, I suddenly got to start far fewer games and I've got no idea why.

"I lost my rhythm. I joined City in order to play in matches. I never imagined that things would turn out the way they have.

"I am too good for the bench. If I continue to sit matches out, then anything is possible."

Dzeko's current contract expires in June 2015.
