Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis reveals that the club held talks with Manchester City over a potential swap deal involving Edin Dzeko and Edinson Cavani.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed that he sent sporting director Riccardo Bigon to speak to Manchester City officials regarding a potential swap deal involving Edin Dzeko and Edinson Cavani.

Reports have suggested that Dzeko could be one of many players on their way out of the Etihad Stadium this summer, with Cavani being constantly linked with a switch to the Premier League club.

"I told Bigon, 'Go to City and have a moment to negotiate Dzeko and what they are willing to do for Cavani,'" De Laurentiis told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Meanwhile, the Serie A club have denied holding talks with Rafael Benitez over becoming the club's new coach.
