New Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Hughes is targeting Manchester City's Nedum Onuoha in the January transfer window.
The defender has fallen out of favour at the Etihad Stadium and QPR have sent an official enquiry to City, according to Sky Sports News.
It is believed that Onuoha will welcome a move to Loftus Road, having worked with Hughes before he was replaced by Roberto Mancini.
There have been reports that Hughes will be given a significant transfer fund to add to his squad by owner Tony Fernandes.
Chelsea's Alex and Blackburn's Christopher Samba are other names to have been linked with a move to QPR since Hughes's appointment yesterday.
