Raheem Sterling is open to an exit from Manchester City should the right opportunity present itself, according to a report.

Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling is not opposed to a summer transfer elsewhere, according to a report.

The former Liverpool man has played a starring role for England during their run to the Euro 2020 final, but he struggled to prove himself to Pep Guardiola during the back end of last season.

Sterling did amass 14 goals and 12 assists in all competitions last term, but he was often a bit-part player during his side's run to the Champions League final and has been linked with a move away.

According to The Athletic, should a suitable offer for his services come in and the right opportunity present itself, Sterling would consider a departure from the Etihad this summer.

The report adds that the England international still does not enjoy the best of relationships with Guardiola following their falling out in the spring, but with his contract due to expire in 2023, they will make an attempt to tie him down to fresh terms.

Sterling has started all six of England's Euro 2020 games so far and won the controversial penalty which ultimately led to Harry Kane's winning goal against Denmark in the semi-final.
