West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Southampton's Kyle Walker-Peters this summer.
The 27-year-old has extensive experience of competing in the Premier League, playing 115 top-flight matches during his professional career to date.
Despite this, Walker-Peters had to battle through a season of Championship action last year following Southampton's relegation from the Premier League in 2023.
Under the stewardship of Russell Martin, the right-back and the Saints secured immediate promotion, beating Leeds United in the playoff final at Wembley.
Walker-Peters was a key cog in the Southampton side, scoring two goals and providing four assists from defence across 43 Championship starts.
According to Football Insider, the former Tottenham Hotspur man could be rewarded with a move to an established top-flight side for his impressive displays last season.
The report claims that West Ham are in advanced talks with Southampton over the signing of Walker-Peters, who would be returning to the capital after four years on the South coast.
Julen Lopetegui's troops are in the market for a new right-back following the departure of academy graduate Ben Johnson to newly-promoted Ipswich Town.
It is also believed that the Hammers are keen on Manchester United Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who could be set for a departure from Old Trafford this summer.

Man City's Doyle close to Norwich move?
Elsewhere in the Premier League, English champions Manchester City could be waving goodbye to one of their homegrown talents in the coming days.
As per Football Insider, the Citizens are open to offers for 20-year-old Callum Doyle, with the youngster preparing for a permanent move away from Manchester.
It is understood that second-tier outfit Norwich City are in the race for the services of the centre-back, who spent last season on loan in the Championship.
Doyle was loaned out to Leicester City for the 2023-24 term and helped Enzo Marseca's Foxes to the Championship title, featuring in 17 league matches.
Due to the excellent partnership established between Jannik Vestergaard and Wout Faes, the Man City youngster was unable to nail a place in the first XI.
Possessing the versatility to also operate at left-back, Doyle is more likely to be a starter at Carrow Road, where Norwich will be hoping to bounce back following their playoff semi-final loss to Leeds in May.
As well as the Canaries, it is believed that there are other Championship outfits in the race for the signature of the England Under-21 international.

Celtic sign Sinisalo from Aston Villa
Moving north of the border, Scottish Premiership holders Celtic have announced the signing of Aston Villa goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo ahead of the new campaign.
The Finnish stopper has put pen to paper on a five-year deal at Parkhead, committing him to the Glasgow-based club until the summer of 2029.
Sinisalo failed to make a senior appearance for Villa and spent last season on loan at League One side Exeter City, for whom he kept 13 clean sheets in 45 third-tier contests.
Brendan Rodgers's side were in the market for a new keeper following the retirement of former England international Joe Hart, who was the main man in between the sticks last campaign.
