Morgan Schneiderlin in contention for West Bromwich Albion match

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal reveals that midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has returned to training ahead of the club's match with West Bromwich Albion.

Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has returned to training ahead of Saturday's meeting with West Bromwich Albion.

Schneiderlin was absent for United's 1-0 victory over CSKA Moscow in the Champions League in midweek, but despite still suffering from illness, manager Louis van Gaal has revealed that the French international could feature at the weekend.

Van Gaal reported no new injuries ahead of the match with the Baggies, but he announced that right-back Antonio Valencia would remain absent.

With both Manchester City and Arsenal playing on Sunday, United can move to within one point of the leaders with victory at Old Trafford.
