Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has moved to ease fears over Angel di Maria's latest injury setback.
The Argentina international, who sat out three games for the Red Devils earlier this month due to a hamstring strain, missed out on the matchday squad against Newcastle United this afternoon with many fearing a recurrence of the same problem.
However, speaking after his side's 3-1 victory at Old Trafford, Van Gaal told reporters: "He stepped out of training in the warm-up. It's not his hamstring or a muscle injury.
"It's not a heavy injury. It's the pelvis and the way it is connecting to his leg. We will see what the doctors say."
United are said to have suffered 51 separate injuries so far this campaign.
