Anderson to miss rest of the season

Anderson is ruled out of the rest of Manchester United's Premier League campaign as the midfielder continues to nurse a hamstring injury.

Manchester United midfielder Anderson will play no part in the Red Devils' final surge for the Premier League title due to a hamstring injury.

The 23-year-old playmaker has not appeared for the English champions since last month when news emerged of the lengthy injury blow.

While the Brazilian was expected to return for the closing stretch of United's campaign, manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Anderson will not be risked for the last four matches.

The North West club are currently five points clear of their local rivals Manchester City at the top of the table.
