Louis van Gaal: "We have given it away"

Louis van Gaal is critical of his Manchester United players following their 3-3 draw away at Newcastle United.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has insisted that his side should have claimed maximum points from their trip to Newcastle United this evening.

The Red Devils were 2-0 and 3-2 in front, but they ended up being pegged back by the hosting Magpies, who claimed a 3-3 draw in the final minute.

"Of course it feels like a defeat. We have given it away - I have told that to my players," the United boss told BT Sport.

"We could have scored six goals easily here and we did not."

The result has left the Red Devils sixth in the Premier League, two points adrift of the top four.
