Manchester United trio return to training ahead of Cardiff City clash

Manchester United's Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Marouane Fellaini all train following spells out of action with injuries.

Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Marouane Fellaini all took part in training with their Manchester United teammates earlier today.

The trio have all spent time on the sidelines recently with injuries, but their presence at Carrington has resulted in suggestions that they could be included in the squad for tomorrow night's Premier League encounter against Cardiff City at Old Trafford.

They could be joined by new signing Juan Mata, who trained with United for the first time.

United go in the clash with the Welsh outfit seventh in the Premier League table.
