Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has likened Manchester United defender Phil Jones to Irish great Paul McGrath.
The Molineux boss was speaking ahead of his side's trip to Old Trafford in the Premier League this afternoon.
He claims to have tipped United manager Sir Alex Ferguson off about the 19-year-old's talent.
"I said he was one of the top players - I sensed [Ferguson] already knew that, but I was offering my opinion," McCarthy said of the utility player.
"He's just a fabulous player. He's got a great attitude too."
McCarthy played with former Red Devils and Republic of Ireland legend McGrath, who provided a similarly versatile midfield and defence offering.
"I think he's one of the best around, whether he plays at centre-half, full-back or wherever," McCarthy added of Jones.
"This is a kid of 19 or 20, and the only other bloke who played like that was Paul McGrath."
Wolves' away form has been less than desirable this term and they will be looking to avoid a sixth defeat on the road when they travel to Manchester.
