Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says that he has no concerns over the mindset of Wayne Rooney ahead of Monday's Premier League clash with Liverpool.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has insisted that he has no concerns over the mindset of Wayne Rooney ahead of Monday's Premier League clash with Liverpool.

Rooney was dropped from the England team during the recent international break after struggling for performances in the early stages of the 2016-17 campaign, which saw him omitted from the Man United XI.

The Man United and England captain is once again expected to be on the bench against Liverpool, but Mourinho has said that he would have no concerns over throwing the 30-year-old into the action.

"England is not my problem, but he is prepared, training well and is positive," Mourinho told reporters.

Rooney has only scored once in 10 appearances for Man United this season.
