David Moyes: 'Juan Mata gave us craft'

David Moyes feels that having Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie back from injury along with the addition of Juan Mata was the difference for his side against Cardiff City.

Manchester United boss David Moyes feels that the addition of Juan Mata and the return from injury of Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney made the difference for his side in their win over Cardiff City.

Mata made his debut for United following his record £37.1m move from Chelsea on Saturday, and he helped his new side to victory as goals from Van Persie and Ashley Young got United back on track in the Premier League.

Moyes told BBC Sport: "We kept a clean sheet, scored a couple of goals, got a couple of players back from injury and gave Juan Mata his debut.

"He gave us a bit more craft. He did well. We know how much of a good player he is. Getting Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney back made a big difference."

United are seventh in the Premier League following their win.
