Italian youngster Davide Petrucci has revealed that it would be a "dream" to represent the Manchester United first team.

The 20-year-old, who has endured a succession of injuries during his four-year stint at Old Trafford, is currently part of the club's reserve side.

Reports have suggested that the coaching staff at United are big admirers of his ability and that Sir Alex Ferguson may consider including him in his plans next season.

"It's my dream," Petrucci told Inside United. "I would love to play for Utd. That is my aim and target and the reason why I left home at 16."

Patrucci joined the Red Devils from Roma in 2008.
