Louis van Gaal thanks "amazing" Manchester United fans

Louis van Gaal describes the Manchester United supporters as "amazing" in a post-match speech after the Red Devils' 1-1 draw with Arsenal.

Louis van Gaal described the Manchester United supporters as "amazing" in a brief speech to the Old Trafford crowd this afternoon.

In the club's final home game of the season, United drew 1-1 with Arsenal to remain behind the Gunners in the table.

Speaking on the pitch shortly after the final whistle, Van Gaal said: "Dear fans. I want to say thank you to you on behalf on my players. You are amazing. Next year we see each other again. Bye."

Ander Herrera put United ahead in the 30th minute today, but the hosts couldn't see out the win as substitute Tyler Blackett inadvertently diverted Theo Walcott's cross into the corner of the net in the 82nd minute.
