Team News: Chris Smalling captains Manchester United, Radamel Falcao starts

Marcos Rojo and Radamel Falcao come into the side as Manchester United, captained by Chris Smalling, make two changes for the visit of Arsenal.

Louis van Gaal has made two changes to his Manchester United lineup for this afternoon's Premier League match against Arsenal.

Marcos Rojo takes Luke Shaw's place at left-back, while Radamel Falcao is chosen ahead of Robin van Persie to replace the injured Wayne Rooney in attack.

With captain Rooney missing, centre-back Chris Smalling will wear the armband for the Red Devils.

Visitors Arsenal are unchanged from Monday's night surprise defeat to Swansea City.

It is the first time as Gunners boss that Arsene Wenger has stuck with the same XI for six games in a row.

United: De Gea; Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Rojo; Blind, Herrera, Young; Fellaini; Falcao
Subs: Valdes, Blackett, McNair, Di Maria, Januzaj, van Persie, Wilson

Arsenal: Ospina; Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal; Coquelin, Cazorla, Ramsey; Ozil, Alexis; Giroud
Subs: Szczesny, Gibbs, Gabriel, Flamini, Rosicky, Wilshere, Walcott
