Sunday's Premier League predictions including Man City vs. Man United

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including Manchester City vs. Manchester United.

Brighton vs. Crystal Palace (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Sunday will serve up the 142nd instalment of the A23 derby, when Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Crystal Palace to the Amex in the Premier League.

Both touted as European challengers at the start of the season, it has been a much more successful start for the Seagulls, as opposed to the Eagles, but Fabian Hurzeler's men have struggled in recent weeks.

We say: Brighton & Hove Albion 1-1 Crystal Palace

Brighton made an explosive start to the season, but things have gone slightly flat in recent weeks, with defensive fragility costing them at important times.

Palace have become a much more cohesive unit after a very troubling start, and now appear to be one of the toughest teams to beat in the division at present, and should offer a stern challenge to their rivals here.

Man City vs. Man Utd (Sunday, 4.30pm)

Two fallen Mancunian mammoths headline this weekend's round of Premier League action, as Manchester City and Manchester United renew hostilities at the Etihad in Sunday's Manchester derby.

While Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim will be experiencing his first taste of derby day since taking charge of the 20-time English champions, he has already masterminded one slaughter of the Citizens in 2024-25.

We say: Manchester City 3-2 Manchester United

City's diminished defence, Man United's propensity to gift goals to the opposition and the visitors' shoddy form away from home all points to a Manchester derby living up to the pre-game billing, and for the second time this season, Guardiola and Amorim could witness their outfits share five goals between them.

However, a repeat of the Portuguese's 4-1 pummelling with Sporting is surely out of the question; we do back the Red Devils to breach a depleted City backline more than once, but the champions remain an attacking force to be reckoned with at home and can capitalise on their visitors' Thursday night fatigue to prevail in an exhilarating encounter.

Chelsea vs. Brentford (Sunday, 7.00pm)

The Premier League's two most prolific outfits meet at Stamford Bridge on Sunday night, when Chelsea host Brentford in an all-West London affair.

Both added another four goals to their respective tallies following entertaining wins last weekend, with Brentford seeking to continue a remarkable record in this future.

We say: Chelsea 3-1 Brentford

The home team has never won in the six previous iterations of this fixture in the Premier League, but with Chelsea steamrolling almost every opponent in their way at present, it will be tough for Brentford to extend their incredible streak here.

Frank's men have also been woeful on the road, with just one point from a possible 21, and they have not been able to hit the same heights in front of goal away from the Gtech either.

Southampton vs. Spurs (Sunday, 7.00pm)

Winless in five matches across all competitions, an out-of-sorts Tottenham Hotspur outfit seek a shot in the arm when they travel to Premier League basement boys Southampton on Sunday evening.

The Lilywhites could only muster a 1-1 draw against Rangers last time out in the Europa League, while the Saints were narrowly beaten by Aston Villa in their most recent top-flight showdown.

We say: Southampton 1-3 Tottenham Hotspur

As Spurs' defence has been decimated and the Lilywhites are missing two banned midfield enforcers, do not expect Southampton's magnificent scoring streak against Tottenham to end on Sunday, but Martin's men will surely be restricted to the one consolation effort.

The trip to St Mary's represents a perfect opportunity for a troubled Tottenham to right their recent wrongs, and Postecoglou's men should prove their point to alleviate the pressure on their manager's shoulders, while at the same time putting Martin's job in even more jeopardy.
