Preview: Manchester United vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Sports Mole previews Tottenham Hotspur's trip to Old Trafford to play Manchester United.

Manchester United will be without duo Angel di Maria and Jonny Evans for the visit of Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

Di Maria sits out the contest at Old Trafford after picking up two yellow cards against Arsenal on Monday night, while Evans faces another five games on the sidelines after his part in a spitting altercation with Newcastle United forward Papiss Cisse.

Striker Robin van Persie is still out with an ankle injury, while Radamel Falcao is unlikely to start after struggling for the reserves in midweek.

Despite their recent critics, United have registered 16 points from their last eight games, but defeat to Spurs will leave the two teams level on points in the Premier League table.

Spurs go into the game having responded to their poor results in cup competitions with back-to-back victories over Swansea City and Queens Park Rangers respectively.

Four wins from six matches have kept the club in contention for a Champions League spot, and Mauricio Pochettino's team could benefit from a quieter schedule heading into the final two months of the campaign.

Pochettino has a fully-fit squad to choose from for the trip to the North-West, and he will be hoping that striker Harry Kane can add to the 26 goals that he has already netted in all competitions this season.
