Paddy Power pay out on Louis van Gaal axe

Bookmakers Paddy Power pay out on Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal being the next top-flight manager to be sacked.

Bookmakers Paddy Power have paid out on Louis van Gaal being the next Premier League manager to be sacked.

Manchester United went down 2-0 at Stoke City in Boxing Day's early kickoff to make it three league defeats in a row and extend their winless run to seven games in all competitions.

In a post on Twitter while the match was still being played, Paddy Power said: "BREAKING: There's no point delaying the inevitable, so we are PAYING OUT on Louis Van Gaal to be the next #BPL manager sacked!"

The bookies have Jose Mourinho as the 8/13 favourite to succeed the Dutchman at Old Trafford.
