Bruno Fernandes insists that he must improve his output in the final third for Manchester United, despite impressing again against Everton on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has insisted that his long-range shooting must improve, despite netting from distance against Everton on Sunday afternoon.

With United having gone behind during the early stages at Goodison Park, Fernandes found an equaliser courtesy of a 25-yard strike which went under the hands of Jordan Pickford.

However, rather than be content with his first outfield goal his new club, the Portuguese has claimed that he is focused on being more prolific from that range in future matches.

Speaking to MUTV, the playmaker said: "It was a shot. I am happy the ball goes in, it doesn't matter how it goes in, the important thing is the goal.

"In the second-half we created a lot of chances and the last minutes we had some chance to score and the last one with [Odion] Ighalo if he scores there now we are talking about a different situation.

"Also I had some shots outside of the box and I can do much better, but obviously the game goes like this, and we need to focus on the game against Derby."

Fernandes has contributed three goals and two assists from his first six appearances for United.
