Club official: 'No Manchester United approach for Anderson Talisca'

On-loan Besiktas forward Anderson Talisca has not been made the subject of a bid by Manchester United, despite reports to the contrary earlier this week.

Besiktas official Metin Albayrak has revealed that Manchester United have yet to make an official approach for Benfica forward Anderson Talisca.

The Red Devils were rumoured to have reached an agreement with the Portuguese outfit to sign Talisca, who enjoyed an impressive campaign on loan with Besiktas last time out.

Talisca netted 16 goals in 32 appearances at the Vodafone Arena, one of which came in the Champions League group stage, and is due to remain at the club for another 12 months.

Besiktas chief Albayrak insists that his side must be informed of any interest in the Brazil Under-23s international which, despite reports to the contrary, has yet to happen.

"Well every player dreams of playing in the Premier League or La Liga but Talisca has another year with us," Albayrak told Turkish-Football. "We have to be informed of any transfers, it cannot go ahead without us at the table, we have not been informed of a Man United deal."

Talisca, valued at around £22m by parent club Benfica, would join teammate Victor Lindelof in making the switch to Old Trafford if terms are agreed further down the line.
