Juventus 'still hopeful of signing Paul Pogba'

Juventus are allegedly still hopeful of securing a deal for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba during the January transfer window.

Juventus have reportedly not given up on signing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba during the January transfer window.

On New Year's Day, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that Pogba was due to miss the rest of the month due to requiring an operation on his injured ankle.

The development comes with the France international having already made two substitute appearances after the problem area had seemingly recovered after two-and-a-half months on the sidelines.

However, despite also taking United's stance of Pogba not being for sale into consideration, Calciomercato claims that Juventus continue to monitor the situation.

The report suggests that the Italian giants remain confident of being able to secure a reunion with their former player before the end of the window.

Pogba effectively has two-and-a-half years left on his deal at Old Trafford, with United ready to demand in excess of £100m.
