Liverpool, Manchester United 'tracking Brazilian wonderkid Rodrygo'

Liverpool, Manchester United and Barcelona are reportedly keeping tabs on 17-year-old Santos starlet Rodrygo, who has drawn comparisons with Neymar.

Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on Santos forward Rodrygo.

The 17-year-old burst onto the scene last month when he became the youngest goalscorer in the Copa Libertadores by finding the back of the net in his side's 3-1 win over Nacional.

Rodrygo's performances for Santos so far have led to comparisons with former club favourite Neymar, with the teenager having scored his first goal for the Brazilian outfit at a younger age than Neymar managed.

Liverpool are understood to have been tracking Rodrygo for more than a year, while Manchester United have now joined the race and Spanish champions Barcelona are also interested in the Brazilian Under-17 international.

Rodrygo - who has been tipped to enjoy a brighter future than Real Madrid signing Vinicius Junior - has a release clause of £45m in his contract, but is unable to complete a transfer until his 18th birthday in January.
