Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of agreeing deals to sign Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane and Atletico Madrid full-back Kieran Trippier.
Both players have been strongly linked with moves to Old Trafford in recent weeks, with Varane emerging as the English club's leading centre-back target, while Trippier is believed to be wanted as competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back and also to provide cover on the opposite side.
According to The Sun, deals for the two defenders 'are all but done', with the 20-time English champions preparing to make announcements on the duo at the end of next week.
The report claims that Man United will pay Real Madrid £50m for Varane, who only has one year left to run on his contract with Carlo Ancelotti's side.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils will allegedly part with £18m for Trippier, with the England international believed to be determined to secure a return to the Premier League this summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have already agreed a deal to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, with the attacker said to have completed a medical earlier this week.
