Manchester United have confirmed that Juan Mata will join the team for a club-record fee.
The reigning Premier League champions have been in talks with the Chelsea midfielder throughout this week, but it had been thought that the deal would not be finalised until next week.
However, the transfer was confirmed through the club's official Twitter account this evening:

The club says that the move is still subject to the Spanish international agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.
The previous record fee for the team was £30.75m, which brought Dimitar Berbatov to Old Trafford from Tottenham Hotspur in 2008.
