The majority of the Manchester United squad reportedly want Cristiano Ronaldo to leave, amid rumours of potential departure from Old Trafford.

Members of the the Manchester United squad have reportedly indicated they want Cristiano Ronaldo to leave the club.

Ronaldo's future at Old Trafford has been uncertain after the player expressed a desire to depart in a bid to play Champions League football.

Although his agent Jorge Mendes is working to find Ronaldo a new club, a number of European sides have turned down the chance to sign Ronaldo.

According to ESPN, the news of Ronaldo's desire to leave United was met by joy from a number of his teammates, with the 37-year-old believed to be a source of friction in the squad.

The Portugal international has only started one game this season, and continues to be linked with a move away before the transfer window shuts.

Mendes is still hopeful of finding Ronaldo a new club, with a loan move to Sporting Lisbon or Napoli currently viewed as possible options.
