Independiente del Valle starlet Moises Caicedo is keen to join Manchester United and it is now up to the Red Devils to complete a deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Ecuadorian protege Moises Caicedo is reportedly keen to join Manchester United in the January transfer window.

The 19-year-old has been linked with a move to the Red Devils since bursting onto the scene with Independiente del Valle, where he boasts six goals and two assists in all competitions this season.

Caicedo is tied down to Independiente until 2024, but club chief Santiago Morales recently admitted that the teenager is likely to leave after a proposal from a European club.

Now, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Caicedo would love to complete a move to Manchester United, and it is now up to the Red Devils to get a deal over the line.

Romano claimed last week that United are poised to agree a €5m (£4.5m) fee with Independiente for Caicedo's signature, and the Ecuador international is set to pen a five-year deal at Old Trafford.

Caicedo made his debut for the Ecuador national team in October and has already registered one goal and three assists during qualification for the 2022 World Cup.
