Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho: Alexis Sanchez deal "not done at all"

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says that a deal taking Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez to Old Trafford is "not done at all".

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that a swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez is "not done at all".

Reports have suggested that a transfer is close to completion, but a deal will now not go through in time for either player to be able to make their debuts for their prospective new teams in the Premier League this weekend.

Mkhitaryan was seen at the United training ground on Friday morning, and Mourinho has indicated that he does not know when there will be any new developments.

At a press conference, the 54-year-old said: "Nothing new [on Sanchez]. I think clearly everybody knows that we are there and especially when Arsenal manager speaks so clearly like he did, there is no point in trying to hide or deny.

"But not done at all, so in this moment Mkhitaryan is our player, Sanchez an Arsenal player and with a match tomorrow I want to switch off and focus on the most important thing, which is the match."

Neither Sanchez nor Mkhitaryan are expected to face Crystal Palace or Burnley for their respective clubs on Saturday afternoon.
