Report: David de Gea ready to sign Manchester United deal

David de Gea is ready to sign a new deal at Manchester United, according to reports in Spain.

Spain international David de Gea is reportedly ready to sign a new contract with Manchester United.

The 24-year-old's transfer to Real Madrid fell through on deadline day, and Los Blancos president Florentino Perez has announced that the club will not be looking to sign De Gea in January.

The goalkeeper faces at least another four months with the Premier League side, and according to El Confidencial, De Gea's preference is to sign a new deal with the Red Devils that will increase his £35,000-a-week salary.

De Gea has yet to play for Manchester United this season but could be recalled for their fixture against Liverpool at Old Trafford on Saturday.
