Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford verbally agreed to join Barcelona at the end of the 2017-18 season, according to a report.

Marcus Rashford reportedly agree to join Barcelona in 2018, only to perform a U-turn and commit his future to Manchester United.

The 22-year-old was linked with a switch to Camp Nou at the end of the 2017-18 campaign - his second full season in United's first team.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claims that Barca got in touch with Rashford that summer and he verbally agreed on a switch to the Catalan giants.

However, the England international is said to have had doubts over whether he was ready for such a big move and opted to stay put at Old Trafford.

Rashford was offered a new deal by United the following year that will keep him in place until 2023.

United return to action in under three weeks' time following a three-month hiatus, with Rashford back in contention after recovering from a back injury.
