Manchester United 'to spend £70m on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang'

Manchester United will reportedly spend £70m to acquire Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to spend £70m to acquire the services of striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer.

The 26-year-old has been in scintillating form for Borussia Dortmund this season, with 20 goals to his name in 20 Bundesliga appearances so far.

Arsenal were rumoured to be in hot pursuit in the mid-season transfer window, reportedly having a bid of £44.6m turned down, but now United are gearing up to break the bank and seal the deal, according to the Daily Mail.

United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward revealed to investors last week that the club would have at least £120m to spend on "star signings" this summer.

Aubameyang is also thought to be of interest to Ligue 1 big spenders Paris Saint-Germain.
